content is mainly derived from the enormous GEDCOM genealogical database
that cousin Michael O'Neill has been working on for years. Hats off to
Michael! The raw Oxy-gen HTML output has been heavily edited. As of this
writing... there are about 800+ pages of static HTML. Arf!
The site dynamic content, photo albums and slideshows etc., use a backend SQL Server 2005
database, a little HTML and a lot of javascript/CSS (AJAX). Enough about that.
The database is completely scalable... it will support gazillions of photos. Ya, so
you see... we need more photos!
Once again, all of us cousins by the dozens can't begin to thank Michael O'Neill for
all the work he has put into this incredible genealogical database. We all benefit
from his extreme effort. There are over 2000 names listed. Amazing! Also, it was
his wife Kathy's inspired wisdom that led us to the name CousinsByTheDozens. As all
have perhaps noted, we use the .ORG extension not .COM, which was already taken.
It makes us sound so darn smart!
